Wooltru Ltd

Wooltru is a retailer with chains in all sectors of the retail market. The company operates the Makro, Doins, Truworths and Woolworths chains as well as a number of smaller specialised stores and a mail order house.

Wooltru operates 722 stores; trades through 39 franchised stores; trades with 504 members through its buying group, Shield; and has invested in 90

stores in Zimbabwe through a minority investment in an associate company.

Wooltru's stores are in South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Kenya, Bahrain, Dubai, Mauritius, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

The group employs 18 000 staff in three major trading divisions, a property company and a finance company.
