IDC plan to boost industrial expansion
by SVEN LUNSCHE THE state-owned Industrial Development Corporation has detailed a
four-year expansion plan, including 10 mega-projects, at a capital
cost of about R35-billion.
To finance the programme, the IDC is examining offshore borrowings
which could total around R10-billion. It will also embark on a
multi-billion-rand sale of its extensive portfolio of listed and unlisted
investments.
